Attend to your Wild Mind.
She has much to unravel, many stories to tell, many wisdom's to share of where your attention is and where it is spending it's time.
When you know what she knows,
then you can help her.
When you know what she know,
then you can attend to her distress
When you know what she know . . .
Then you can move toward peace.
She will tell you what is taking up her space. She will tell you what you need to attend to.
How do you attend to your wild mind?
Here's one simple way you can do that right now before going on to the next thing.
ONE REALLY SIMPLE WAY TO QUIET YOUR MIND
1. Sit still for 1 minute. Set your clock if you need to
2. Breathe
3. Every time you notice your mind thinking, just label it thinking. Say "thinking"
(It will give you something to do and help keep you focused!)
4. Stretch
5. Eat chocolate ;) (it's good to be surprised!) (and fun to celebrate your success!)
You will notice your beautiful wild mind will share her struggles with you. She will let you know, what's up. She will show you where you need to pay attention.
And . . .
All she wants for you to do is to find your heart. Once you do, she will relax.
So please . . . stop all you are doing right now. Take 1 minute and attend to your mind.
You might feel a little lighter after you do ;)
With an empty mind .. .
I send you beautiful and wild love,
~Elizabeth xo

Funnily enough, I had my chocolate just before I sat down to read this:) after my 1 minute stillness (that turned into a nap).
Feels like I need more something though...more than a minute to still my heart today.
I adore your writing, Elizabeth:)!
Ha ha… I guess your intuition knew where you were headed so got the chocolate in order right away… If you need more than one minute… feel free to do this for as many minutes as your heart desires…. she knows the way xoxoxoxo (and thanks Susan)
PS Susan . . . Sounds like your beautiful wild mind shared what she needed with you :)
I love reading your posts because I receive validation, validation, and more validation that I am not alone in what I'm feeling. I'm not crazy. I'm not neurotic. I'm simply wild. And wild is wonderful! Thank you, Elizabeth! xo
Ohhh Michelle…. that makes me sooo happy to hear that… Thank you for telling me. I'm so, so glad xoxo
Hey Wild Woman … just so you know, I deleted the comment above that I wrote because I went to change an error I made and then it forced me to delete it.. So I just re-entered my comment above :)
Elizabeth, this is great! I love tapping into my wild woman. For me, though, I get wonderful clarity in the shower! Not when I close my eyes for a minute, because I can't seem to stop the thinking. But for some reason, in the shower, my mind is clear and I can get to my core. Thank you for a wonderful post and wisdom. xox
Sweet Elizabeth, my wild mind thanks you. Isn't it amazing how long 1 minute can feel as you sit and quiet your mind. It makes me feel connected too! I'm going to set a timer before I write in my journal to quiet my mind first then see what bubbles up. Stay tuned...
Tania….The shower is a great place to quiet the mind! So glad you have found a place that works well. xo
Yeah Susie… it sure is amazing how long 1 minute can feel!! Maybe that's why it works so well!! I've implemented doing this a few times in my day.. so doable..and really effective…. I'm staying tuned to hear how it goes for you! Do let me know …
Hi Elizabeth, I felt a whole lot calmer just by reading this post! Like the surporise chocolate ending! Rewards are always good :) Thank you!!
i love my wild mind, elizabeth! most recently for all of the lovely unravelings of creativity and discovery during my solo weekend retreat . . .
Did I hear "eat chocolate"? Beautiful reminder, Elizabeth, thank you. I am on holiday at the moment quieting my mind and enjoying the stillness that my doing self craves.
